It is with the deepest regret and heartfelt sorrow that we must inform you all of the tragic passing of our dearest friend and drop in coach McCoy ‘Topsy’ Turner’ who sadly chose to end his own life on Saturday 8th March 2025 after returning back to Bali following a long term battle with complex PTSD.

CrossFit Choice's gym owners are two of Topsy’s closest friends and and have now flown to Bali to say their final goodbyes, attending his funeral and celebration of life on Sat 15th March 2025.

A L4 CrossFit Seminar Staff ‘Red Shirt’, McCoy taught a staggering 256 L1 & L2 seminars globally across Europe and Asia. A Flow Master, and Coaching Mentor he truly was a master of his craft.

He was a beacon of light that filled every room he entered. He had an incredible Warmth, Kindness and a Cheeky Smile that would instantly make you feel at ease. He has impacted the lives of so many people and will continue to inspire thousands with his legacy.

A wonderful Father, Friend, Mentor and Coach he will be sorely missed.

He believed in doing the right things, for the right reasons for the right people. As his closest friends, we believe it is our duty to step up and do the right thing, to provide some form of financial stability easing a small burden for his two Sons, Brodie, 17 and Tommy,13 and to provide a little assistance as they begin to navigate this extremely difficult chapter of their lives without their father.

The Profits from this shirt will go directly to the Go Fund me page set up by Karl & Paul.

We hope the CrossFit community and the wider Military Community will now come together to support the family of one of the very best men who graced us with his presence.

Just 5 days before his passing McCoy was at CrossFit Choice completing Open Workout 25.1 which serves as a testament that not all illnesses are visible, even those who on the surface have it all, can be suffering inside. So please be kind, reach out to your friends and loved ones, and tell them what they mean to you, as you never know how long you have left with them.
